Lancastrian Jewellers has dated this Silver Double Albert Chain to the 1920s.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
The chain was named after Prince Albert, who was said to have been fond of wearing watch chains. The Dog clips would have attached a pocket watch or fob, and the T-Bar would go through the buttonhole of a waistcoat to secure it in place.
