A fine quality George III period solid silver mug by highly regarded and collected makers John King weighing over 9.5 troy oz, hallmarked London 1773. The silver vessel with flared rim, bellied lower half to the vessel and stepped flared foot to the base. Scroll design handle with hand chased feathered decoration to the top. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith John King, who is a specialist maker of this kind of item, along with crisp hallmarks. Weighing 9.54 troy oz and presented in immaculate condition.
