Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. This Art Deco lady lamp from 1930 combines chrome-plated metal and white glass. A silhouette of a lady leans backward from the central pedestal, mounted directly onto a circular base with an engine-turned design at the bottom. A white glass shade featuring a fan pattern sits atop the metal hardware, diffusing the warm light emitted from the bulb within. The chrome finish shows minor wear along the lower leg of the figure, while the entire assembly is paired with a black cord lead. The lamp measures 52 cm high, with a base diameter of 13 cm and a shade diameter of 13 cm. Placed on a bedside table, desk, or a low sideboard, this table lamp provides both accent lighting and a sculptural focal point for a living room, hallway, or study. The compact footprint makes it suitable for placement on narrow surfaces where space is limited, while the monochrome palette integrates easily into various room schemes.

FAQs

Originating in the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco figural lighting combines streamlined geometric forms with stylised human or animal figures, reflecting the eras fascination with modernism, movement, and industrial design.

Art Deco lamps commonly feature chrome-plated or nickel-plated metals, bronze, spelter, and moulded or frosted glass shades engineered to soften electric illumination.

Authentic period lamps display characteristics such as heavy cast bases, specific wiring entry points, geometric glass shades, and seam lines indicative of early 20th-century metal casting and glass moulding methods.

Position the lamp on a minimalist sideboard, polished marble surface, or dark wood desk to create contrast and highlight the metallic finish and sculptural silhouette.

Clean chrome surfaces using a non-abrasive soft microfibre cloth to avoid scratching the plating, and gently wash removable glass shades with mild detergent and warm water.
