Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors has dated this Edwardian Silver Vesta Case to the Edwardian era.
The reverse is engraved all over with a continuous foliate design, which carries on across the lid. Both faces are framed by a fine hand-engraved border of tiny serrated notches. The case has a hinged lid, a ridged striker base and a suspension ring for a watch chain or fob.

The engraving is crisp and the proportions are pleasing. It would make a lovely addition to a collection of Edwardian silver, or a thoughtful gift.
Hallmarks for William Adams maker W.A, Birmingham anchor, lion passant and date letter f for 1905, struck on the top rim of the case.
Good condition for its age and use showing a couple of dings and dents. The lid closes firmly.
