A Large Art Deco Silver & Blue John Brooch

Description

A superb large silver brooch, dating from the 1930s. The openwork frame has interlinked and engraved loops. To the centre is a gorgeous oval Blue John cabochon in a bezel setting. The reverse of the brooch is marked 'silver' and the pin is secured by a 'c' clasp. Blue John is a mineral only found in Derbyshire, U.K. and is both sought after and collectable. Dimensions below.
