Antique George V Sterling Silver Egg Cruet - 1917/8

Description

A splendid antique George V sterling silver four sectioned egg cruet which has a plain oval shaped body, a central handle for carrying purposes and resting on four simple feet. There is a silver gallery to house the plain egg cups and a section at the top to hold the spoons. This silver egg cruet would be practical to use and would look appealing displayed on the table. The spoons are dated for 1917 and the cruet is dated for 1918 but they were all made by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. It is useful and quite rare to have the original egg spoons. The set remains in excellent condition.

Width: 14 cms (5.5")

Weight: 24.3 troy ounces (757 grams)

It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1917/8 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.
