This handmade Arts and Crafts chamberstick dates from 1890 and takes the form of a wide dish base with a cylindrical candle sconce, flat drip rim and a riveted loop handle. The piece is formed from copper, presenting a warm copper colour with a visible aged patina and verdigris build-up around the socket and handle base. The fluid form includes a gentle slope across the round dish tray, while the handle arches gracefully upward and attaches to the rim with a visible metal rivet. Measuring 5 cm high, 16 cm wide and 16 cm deep, the chamberstick sits on a dark wooden surface.
