Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold Bangle Hallmarked Chester 1904 - Antique Foliate Engraved Hinged Bangle

A beautiful Edwardian hinged bangle, finely handcrafted in warm 9ct rose gold and fully hallmarked at the historic Chester Assay Office in 1904.

The front of the bangle is richly decorated with delicate hand-engraved foliate and floral motifs, centred by an elegant polished navette-shaped panel. The engraved section is framed by an attractive wire and bead-work border, giving the bangle a particularly decorative and feminine appearance.

The reverse is plain and softly polished, allowing the detailed front section to take centre stage when worn.

The bangle opens on a side hinge and fastens securely with a traditional push-box clasp, further protected by its original-style safety chain.

The inside diameter measures approximately 5.8cm from hinge to fastening, and the bangle is suitable for a wrist measuring up to approximately 17cm / 6¾ inches.

Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Chester 1904, this is a particularly charming example of Edwardian gold jewellery, retaining all the delicate workmanship associated with the period.

It remains in excellent antique condition, with just one tiny ding to the reverse which is difficult to see with the naked eye.
