An Art Deco platinum brooch from the 1930s displays three central step-cut green emeralds arranged horizontally in a graduating trilogy. The geometric openwork frame contains pierced lattice decoration, millegrain edging, and fifty-four pavé set Old European cut diamonds. The entire structure measures 0.463 cm high, 2.25 cm wide, and 5.9 cm deep, terminating at each end with a round cut diamond and securing on the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening. This antique jewellery piece suits formal wear or special occasion attire when pinned to a lapel, dress, or scarf in contemporary wardrobes. The silver-coloured platinum setting and contrasting green stones reflect the characteristic glamour of the Art Deco period. The item arrives with certification documents detailing the gemstone origins and diamond grades.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s is defined by bold geometric patterns, symmetrical designs, and fine gemstone settings. Platinum became the primary metal during this period due to its structural strength, allowing for delicate openwork and intricate millegrain detailing.

Art Deco brooches typically feature high-purity platinum paired with diamonds and vibrant coloured gemstones such as emeralds, sapphires, and rubies. Craftsmen frequently used millegrain edging, geometric openwork, and calibre-cut gemstones.

Authentic 1930s Art Deco jewellery displays hand-engraved millegrain detailing, precise pierced lattice work, and platinum or gold hallmarks. The presence of geometric symmetry and hand-cut stones consistent with early twentieth-century manufacturing techniques helps verify authenticity.

An antique emerald brooch can be styled on lapels, coats, or evening dresses, or pinned into a silk scarf or hairpiece. When not being worn, it can also be displayed inside a glass shadow box frame as a decorative object.

Clean platinum and diamond jewellery gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals should be avoided on emeralds due to potential natural internal features, and pieces should be stored individually in soft pouches.
