This pair of nineteenth century English wall lights follows a neoclassical grand regency style, rendered in gilded bronze and brass with an overall gold colour. Each piece incorporates twin reeded leaf-clad scrolling arms holding circular bobeche drip pans and bulbous reeded candle sconces, issuing from a tapering foliated backplate decorated with a central ram head, urn finial, and acorn detail. The visible carved and moulded motifs include acanthus leaf scroll branches and foliate candle cups. Measuring 36 cm high, 22 cm wide, and 15 cm deep, these fixtures mount securely to walls. They suit installation in pairs on narrow wall spaces in living rooms, hallways, or dining rooms to provide ambient illumination alongside existing interior lighting schemes.

Neoclassical twin-arm wall sconces are decorative wall-mounted lighting fixtures featuring two candle branches, inspired by classical Greek and Roman architectural motifs such as urns, garlands, and acanthus leaves.

These fixtures were predominantly crafted from cast bronze or brass, often finished with fire-gilding or patination to highlight hand-chased relief details.

Authentic period pieces display evidence of hand-tooling, irregular casting marks on rear surfaces, heavy weight, and age-consistent oxidisation or wear on gilding.

Position a symmetrical pair flanking a central mirror, artwork, or architectural recess to provide balanced ambient illumination and classical architectural interest.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or natural bristle brush, avoiding liquid polishes or abrasive chemical cleaners that can remove historical gilding.
