Very Rare Antique Chinese Export Sterling Silver Vinaigrette Box C1840

Description

A beautiful very rare Chinese export antique solid sterling silver vinaigrette box. It is hallmarked with a Chinese character mark along with the makers mark of Khecheong and dates to c1840. It has been beautifully made being decorated foliage to the lid, wave pattern to the base and the grid being pierced with a lotus flower. The inside including the grid have been vibrantly gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures over 1.5 inches (3.9cm) across by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1.4cm) tall and weighs 24 grams. A very high quality rare piece.
