Brass Coal Bin with Ram & Paw Feet, C.1890

Description

A brass lidded coal bin / kindling bin with finely detailed ram motif to the front and four large paw feet.

The bin has wear commensurate with age throughout, most notably one paw is slightly misaligned, but the bin remains sturdy, and the lid doesn't sit quite flush (please see photographs). Original liner present.

An attractive piece of unusual form. Very striking in situ.
