A handsome 19th-century mahogany glazed secretaire bookcase, displaying beautifully figured timber with a rich colour and attractive patina.

The upper section features a pair of Gothic-arched astragal-glazed doors enclosing three spacious shelves, ideal for displaying books, glassware or collectables. Below is a wide secretaire drawer fitted with decorative brass handles, positioned above a useful two-door cupboard with striking flame-mahogany panels.

Raised on turned feet and finished with a moulded cornice, this elegant cabinet offers an excellent combination of display, writing and concealed storage.
