Antique 4.00 Amethyst & 1.20 Old Cut Diamond Pendant, Circa 1900

Description

A spectacular Victorian amethyst and diamond pendant. The large, deeply saturated amethyst is suspended in a surround of 16 old cut diamonds which have been individually secured in silver cut-down settings over gold. The articulated setting allows the amethyst a subtle degree of movement.

The chain pictured is not original. Please note in the checkout whether you would prefer a 16" or 18" 9k yellow gold chain, which is included in the price.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Cushion cut amethyst and old cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamonds range between G and H.

Clarity:  The amethyst is eye-clean. The diamonds range between SI1 and SI2 (also eye-clean).

Carat:  The amethyst is approximately 4.00 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carat.

Circa:  1900.

Measurements:  The amethyst is 10.06 x 9.85mm. The pendant, not including the bale, is 23.2 x 21.1mm.

Weight:  5.37 grams. Not including a chain.

Metal:  Silver and 9k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
