Unusual Edwardian Silver & Bristol Green Glass Pill Box by William Comyns, London 1908

Description

This exquisite silver mounted ovoid shaped Bristol green glass pill box bears teh marks of the celebrated William Comyns and is dated London 1908. The pull-off embossed silver lid fitted on a tapered glass body. The lid embossed with foliate borders surrounding an elaborated initialled plain centre. The inner lid gilt.

Hallmarks:

WC for William Comyns.

Lion Passant.

London Assay Mark.

Date letter "n" for 1908.

Dimensions:

Height: 3cm - 1.2 inches.

Top diameter: 3.5 cm - 1.3 inches

Condition:

Very good.

No dings to silver lid.

Glass body, glass neck and glass stopper in perfect condition.
