D and A Binder Ltd has dated this Antique Oak School Bookcase to the 1920s.
The lower section has two panelled cupboard doors opening to further shelving. Both sections retain decorative metal drop handles and escutcheons.

The cabinet has more recently had its library-style lettering hand-painted, which has been intentionally aged and distressed to work with the existing surface and character of the oak. The lettering is a later decorative addition.

A wonderfully practical piece with plenty of character, it would work particularly well as a bookcase, shop display cabinet or storage piece within either a commercial or domestic interior.
