Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Arts and Crafts pewter candlesticks are defined by hand-finished surfaces, organic structural lines, and simple geometric form. Designers of the era emphasised functional craftsmanship while incorporating subtle Celtic Revival or Art Nouveau motifs.

Tudric pewter was a proprietary alloy formulated with a higher proportion of silver and antimony than standard pewter, resulting in a brighter finish and greater durability suitable for intricate casting.

Authentic pieces typically feature stamped hallmarks on the underside, including the word TUDRIC or ENGLISH PEWTER, alongside specific four-digit model numbers used in Liberty & Co production catalogues.

Pewter candlesticks can be displayed on a dark wood sideboard, marble fireplace mantelpiece, or dining table to provide metallic contrast and a historic focal point within modern minimalist or eclectic decor.

Pewter should be cleaned gently using warm water and mild dish detergent applied with a soft cloth. Abrasive polishes and harsh chemicals should be avoided to prevent damage to the historic surface patina.
