Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco diamond rings from the 1930s are recognised for their clean geometric symmetry, low-profile settings, and the use of white metals such as platinum or white gold. Rings from this period frequently featured hand-cut diamonds, including old cushion and old European cuts, secured in fine bezel or collet settings with milgrain detailing.

Rings during the 1930s were predominantly crafted from platinum or 18-ct white gold to achieve a bright, white finish that complemented diamonds. Jewellers used hand-piercing, milgrain edging, and rub-over bezel settings to hold stones securely while creating smooth, streamlined silhouettes.

Old cushion cut diamonds feature a squarish outline with rounded corners, a high crown, a deep pavilion, and a visible open culet at the base. Unlike modern precise machine cuts, these hand-cut stones exhibit broader facet patterns designed to reflect candlelight.

An antique diamond ring with a low profile and bezel setting pairs seamlessly alongside modern unadorned metal bands or fine stacking rings. Its geometric design allows it to function as a standalone statement piece or as an everyday engagement ring.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove dust beneath the bezel settings. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if the setting has delicate milgrain, and schedule periodic checks with a jeweller to ensure settings remain firm.
