Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Arts and Crafts silver napkin rings are defined by hand-hammered or planished surface textures, visible craftsmanship, and simple geometric or organic forms that reject mass machine production.

During the George V era, silversmiths shaped solid sterling silver sheet into cylindrical bands, soldering the seam before hammering the exterior surface with round-headed mallets to create a faceted light-reflecting pattern.

Authentic British silver from 1924 features a standard mark such as the lion passant for sterling silver, an assay office symbol such as the Birmingham anchor, a date letter, and a registered makers mark.

Antique silver napkin rings can be paired with modern linen or cotton napkins on minimalist stoneware plates to create a textured, layered table setting that bridges traditional and contemporary aesthetics.

Planished sterling silver should be cleaned using a soft cloth and a specialized silver polish, avoiding abrasive scrubs that could wear down the raised hammer marks over time.
