The Silver Cabinet has dated this Silver Snipe Pill Box to the Edwardian era.
He carries import marks for Chester 1902, with the importer's stamp for Berthold Muller. The head pulls off to reveal a partial hallmark. As befits a piece of this quality, the hallmarks are hidden away, underneath the neck. He stands proudly and the detailing of the body is fantastic. The silver is in excellent condition.
I am no bird expert and have described it as a snipe.
