Steven Swann Antiques has dated this Victorian Mahogany Chiffonier Bookcase to the Victorian era.

The two sections are well matched in both colour and proportion and appear to have been together for many years. A substantial piece, with useful enclosed storage below and glazed display space above.

Condition Report
Structurally sound and in good antique condition. The bookcase is a marriage of two sections, well matched in colour and proportion. There are a number of minor veneer losses, chips and blemishes throughout, consistent with country house use. One of the shelves in the lower cupboard is a plywood replacement. One escutcheon is missing from the upper section. Both sections have working locks with keys.

The photographs form part of the condition report, so please review them carefully. Further images or a video viewing can be provided on request. Viewings are welcome at our Southampton unit, strictly by appointment.
