Description

An impressive antique 19th century mahogany secretaire bookcase of excellent quality, the lower section fitted with five graduated drawers and finely decorated throughout with elaborate floral and scrolling marquetry. Each drawer is fitted with attractive brass handles, while the whole stands on substantial ogee bracket feet.

The upper section features a pair of glazed doors with decorative geometric astragal glazing, opening to reveal useful adjustable shelving. The rich mahogany timber displays a wonderful depth of colour and grain, complemented beautifully by the intricate inlaid decoration.
