A Rare Art Deco Novelty Silver 'Book' Cigar Lighter

A rare novelty silver spill lighter, in the for of a closed book. The body is decorated with engine turned decoration and the 'covers' are closed over the pages. The detachable 'wand' would hold a wick and was withdrawn from the resevoir inside the body, having been soaked in fuel. It was then lit and could be used to light several cigars or cigarettes. There is an attaching ring to the spine for a fob chain. A collectable and unusual example. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no losses or splits. The body has a number of small blemishes and dimples, commensurate with age and use.
