Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Ersari Beshir carpets are traditional textiles hand-woven by the Ersari Turkmen tribe along the Amu Darya river valley in Central Asia. They are distinguished by unique design elements that combine classic Turkmen geometric guls with plant-derived motifs, lattice structures, and rich natural dye palettes.

These carpets are hand-knotted using hand-spun sheep wool for both the pile and the foundation structure. The wool is dyed using traditional vegetable and organic dyes, resulting in varied tones of terracotta, indigo, ochre, and madder red.

Authentic pieces display natural dye variations known as abrash, slight asymmetry in the knotting typical of tribal looms, and soft, hand-spun wool construction. Examining the reverse side reveals clear knot structures and natural selvedge bindings.

The deep terracotta red and indigo tones provide a grounding foundation when placed beneath neutral modern sofas or polished timber dining sets. The repeating geometric lattice pattern complements both contemporary minimalist decor and traditional period rooms.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotating beater bar to protect the pile fibers. Use a high-quality rug pad beneath the carpet to prevent slipping and wear, and consult a specialist rug cleaner for periodic deep cleaning.
