Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Emerging during the reign of King Edward VII between 1901 and 1910, Edwardian brooches often feature lightweight, openwork ribbon and bow motifs designed to complement light pastel garments.

Edwardian jewelers frequently used sterling silver, platinum, or low-carat gold, often pairing these metals with gemstones such as peridot, amethyst, or seed pearls set in fine bezel or claw mountings.

Authentic pieces from this period typically display hand-finished openwork, classic period clasps such as C-hooks or simple tube hinges, and hallmarks or makers marks consistent with early 20th-century production.

An antique brooch can be worn on a tailored jacket lapel, pinned to a silk scarf, attached to a fabric handbag, or fastened at the collar of a button-up shirt as a subtle accent.

Polishing should be done gently with a soft microfiber cloth to clean the silver without removing natural patina, avoiding harsh chemical dip solutions that can damage delicate gemstones.
