A handsome English oak, 123cm wide blanket box or storage trunk with an elegant timeworn patination and established colour.
A robust oak blanket box for a day or bedroom, boot room or reception hall of good design and excellent versatile use. A late 18th century English country house, hinged lid box or trunk of great scale and colour that sits well upon its bracket feet.
A strong oak plank lid opens with forged strap iron hinges to reveal a large and deep storage area, ideal for blankets, kids toys, boot room storage etc.., with a single candle drawer to the top left.

Presented in mostly excellent structural and cosmetic condition, with a superb colour patination all over, currently in our workshop for minimal conservation, to check all joints and repair any loose or missing moulding to edges of lid and a foot, with an gentle even wax.
