A stunning looking 19th century bronze portrait plaque, cast in relief with a bearded gentleman looking to sinister, signed in the maquette MAINFROY and set in a beautifully gilt frame of great patina. A truly wonderful decorative item, that looks striking when hung. In original untouched condition. There are signs of age to the frame, with various small knocks, scratches and marks as can be expected for its age, but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready for use.
