Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Kiddush cup is a traditional ceremonial vessel used in Jewish customs to recite blessings over wine or grape juice on the Sabbath and festival days. Historically crafted from precious metals such as silver, these cups represent honour and celebration within ritual traditions across generations.

Traditional ceremonial goblets are typically forged from sterling silver, which consists of 92.5 percent pure silver alloyed with copper for structural durability. Higher-end pieces may feature gilded interior bowls to prevent acid corrosion from wine.

Authentic British sterling silver features a series of stamped hallmarks indicating purity, origin, and date. Look for the lion passant symbol for sterling purity, a specific town mark such as the leopards head for London, and an alphabetical date letter indicating the year of manufacture.

A vintage silver goblet can be displayed as a decorative accent on a sideboard top, curated within a glazed cabinet, or integrated into a bar cart arrangement. Its polished metallic surface provides a reflective, textured contrast alongside glassware and dark timber finishes.

To preserve sterling silver, clean gently using a soft cloth and specialized non-abrasive silver polish to remove tarnish. Store pieces in anti-tarnish cloth bags away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and sulphur-containing materials.
