Victorian Agate Gold And Silver Teardrop Earrings

These beautiful 19th century earrings feature glossy banded agate cabochons and teardrops which look black but are actually a very deep brown with white stripes. The teardrops are capped in silver, the back plates and wires are nine-carat gold.
 
• Condition: Very good antique condition. There is a very tiny chip on one of the white bands (see magnified photo).
 
• Fixing: Nine-carat gold wires (likely added later to replace original fittings), supplied with tiny silicone ''keepers'' to pop over the ends for security.
 
• Hallmarks: None found.
 
• Era: Victorian (c.1837-1901).
 
• Size: Approximately 4.2cm drop from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the drop x 0.8cm wide at the agate ball.
 
• Weight: 4.3g.
