Andrew Lovatt Antiques has dated this Cut Glass Mushroom Lamp to the 1920s.
The domed shade features intricate geometric and starburst motifs, deeply hand-cut to create a dazzling play of light. Its sculptural form rests on a finely detailed pedestal base, equally adorned with precise diamond and cross-hatch cutting.
When illuminated, the lamp radiates a warm, prismatic glow, highlighting the remarkable clarity and weight of the glass. The large proportions are beautifully balanced, with a substantial, jewel-like presence that makes it equally striking lit or unlit.
Likely produced during the height of the Brilliant Period revival of fine cut glass, this lamp reflects the elegance and optimism of the 1920s. It would make a distinguished addition to an Art Deco, traditional, or eclectic interior.
