Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Nouveau jewellery, prominent between 1890 and 1910, is characterised by organic shapes, sinuous whiplash lines, and nature-inspired motifs. Pieces from this era often feature asymmetrical arrangements and combine gemstones with natural elements such as pearls.

Jewellers during the Art Nouveau period frequently crafted settings using yellow gold, rose gold, or silver-topped gold. Settings were paired with old European cut diamonds, seed pearls, enamel, and carved gemstones to create fluid, naturalistic forms.

Authentic Art Nouveau rings often display asymmetrical scrollwork, hand-set gemstones in open-back mounts, and characteristic hand-faceted old-cut diamonds. Hallmark stamps inside the band detailing metal purity or maker marks also assist in establishing authenticity.

An Art Nouveau dress ring functions as a focal piece on either the index or middle finger. It can be paired with slim gold bands on adjacent fingers or worn alone to highlight its fluid, organic lines.

Pearls are organic gems sensitive to chemicals, water, and heat, requiring gentle cleaning with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners or ultrasonic equipment, and store the ring separately in a fabric-lined pouch to prevent diamonds from scratching softer surfaces.
