It''s a wonder to find this set of solid sterling silver skewers complete, dating, as they do, from the beginning of the reign of George IV.
All four are clearly hallmarked for London 1826 with the maker''s mark for William Chawner II. They feature plain hooped finials, free of initials.
Two are 15cm in length, one is 16.5cm and the largest is 19cm long. The total silver weight is 63g.
Well used, as you would expect, and a wonderful piece of history.
Complimentary gift wrapping is available on request.
