An elegant double strand pearl necklace dating to the 1940s, designed in the Art Deco style and finished with an exceptional diamond-set box clasp.

The necklace is composed of two graduated strands of cultured pearls, ranging from approximately 8mm to 4mm. The pearls display a creamy ivory tone with delicate peach overtones and a pleasing, even lustre. The slightly differing strand lengths allow the necklace to sit gracefully at the neckline, creating a soft and flattering drape.

The clasp is a finely detailed Art Deco box design measuring 16mm x 9mm, set with two baguette-cut diamonds flanking a central round diamond, with a further eighteen small diamonds enhancing the geometric pattern. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.20 carat. Marked 9ct gold to the tongue and fitted with a safety chain, the clasp is both decorative and secure.
