This stunning Victorian diamond ring has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.

This pierced decorated dress ring is ornamented with impressive 0.41ct, 0.40ct and 0.39ct Old European cut diamonds, vertical aligned to the centre.

The multi-stranded design incorporates ten diamonds, in a combination of Old European and mine cuts, each pavé set to a foliated terminal.

The well colour matched supporting diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.

The ring is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian jewellery.

Victorian jewellery from the late 19th century often featured romantic symbolism, intricate metalwork, and the prominent use of diamonds and coloured gemstones set in yellow or rose gold.

Rings from this era were typically handcrafted using 18ct or 9ct yellow and rose gold, frequently mounting old mine-cut or old European-cut diamonds secured in claw or collet settings.

Authentic pieces often display hand-carved details, traditional hallmarks indicating metal purity, closed-back settings in earlier works, and hand-cut gemstones that exhibit distinctive facet arrangements irregular by modern standards.

Antique rings add historic character and unique texture to modern outfits, and they are frequently worn alongside contemporary stacking bands to create a personalised, curated aesthetic.

To preserve antique jewellery, clean it gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoid harsh chemical dips that can damage historic settings, and store pieces individually in lined boxes to prevent scratching.
