We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Norwegian enamel jewellery gained significant popularity during the mid-20th century, produced by renowned silversmiths such as David-Andersen and Aksel Holmsen, who utilised guilloche techniques to create vibrant insect motifs.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver, often with a gold vermeil wash, and decorated with translucent coloured glass enamel over machine-engraved guilloche metal patterns.

Authenticity is verified by makers marks, silver purity hallmarks such as 925S, and the distinct quality of the hand-applied translucent enamel work over engine-turned silver.

These colourful pieces can be pinned to lapels, scarves, or hats as vibrant statement accents that introduce a pop of colour and historical craftsmanship to modern outfits.

Store them in anti-tarnish pouches away from direct sunlight, avoid harsh chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners, and clean gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
