Danish daisy jewellery gained widespread popularity in the 1940s, notably after the birth of the Danish Princess Margrethe in 1940, when the royal family received a daisy pin to commemorate the occasion.

These pieces are typically crafted from sterling silver, often heavily gilt with gold vermeil, and decorated with vitreous enamel applied to the petal and centre details.

Authentic pieces usually feature clear maker hallmarks, sterling silver stamps, and precise guilloche or hand-applied enamel work with distinct textural detailing on the central stamen.

A vintage brooch can be pinned to the lapel of a tailored blazer, fastened at the neckline of a minimalist dress, or used to secure a silk scarf for a classic touch.

Silver enamel pieces should be cleaned gently using a soft microfibre cloth and warm soapy water, avoiding harsh chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners which can damage the delicate glass enamel.
