Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Desk Tidy / Stationery Box 1890

Description

This is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver desk top stationary box measuring 7 1/4" (18.5 cms) high x 9" (23 cms) across x 4 1/2" (11.5 cms) deep and in super condition.

It's hallmarked for London 1890 with the silversmiths mark for John Brashier and the box also shows the retailers mark for MacMichael (To the Queen) 42, South Audley St. London. W.

Inside there are three sections which are clean and ready to use.

The lid has an armorial crest with the Latin phrase 'In Te Spiro Domine' which translates to 'I hope in you, Lord'.

The silver is covered in a lovely floral pattern with a black leatherette backing and it will come with a certificate of authenticity.
