A beautiful German Hanau antique solid silver jewellery or table box. It is hallmarked with the German Hanau marks for Georg Roth & Co who operated 1891 to 1919, it is also hallmarked with English import marks for London 1897 with the importer being William Moering. It has been beautifully designed depicting various scenes to the lid and sides. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and gilded. It measures approx. 3.75 inches (9.5cm) across by over 2.75 inches (7cm) wide by 1.75 inches (4.4cm) tall and weighs 174 grams. A very high quality example.
