Rare Tiffany & Co Solid Sterling Silver Ladies Telephone Dialler C1940 Art Deco

Description

A rare American solid sterling silver telephone dialler. It is hallmarked TIFFANY Co STERLING. I would date it to c1940s. It would have been used by a lady to stop her gloves from getting dirty when dialling a rotary telephone (if ever there was a piece to epitomise an era). It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cm) long by 0.5 inch (1.2cm) wide and weighs 22g. A beautifully made unusual piece.
