Description

A good antique elm blanket box dating from the late 19th century. It is well made and has a lovely rich colour and patina. It is a good size for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.

It is in good condition for its age and is generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of use and age, some general knocks and marks and a few small chips and splits but nothing untoward or detrimental. There are signs of old woodworm in places which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the box structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
