Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Frames from this period often reflect early Art Deco influences, featuring clean geometric lines, streamlined borders, and minimal ornamentation compared to earlier Victorian designs.

These pieces typically consist of a sterling silver front sheet mounted over a wooden or cardboard backing, supported by a hinged easel strut, often reinforced with internal brass frames.

Authentic items bear official UK assay office hallmarks, including a makers mark, standard purity mark such as the lion passant for sterling, and a date letter corresponding to the year of testing.

Place the piece on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or dressing table to introduce metallic texture and a sense of historical narrative into contemporary spaces.

Use a specialized non-abrasive silver cloth to gently remove tarnish, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage soldered joints or backing materials.
