Art Deco jewellery is characterised by geometric shapes, clean symmetrical lines, stylised motifs, and a strong emphasis on contrasting gemstones set in platinum or white gold.

Authentic pieces from this period frequently utilised white gold or platinum settings, accented with European-cut diamonds and vibrant coloured gemstones such as tourmaline, emerald, or sapphire.

Authentication involves examining the metal hallmarks, hand-cut gemstone facets, milgrain edging, and construction techniques typical of early twentieth-century goldsmithing.

Pairing period pieces with minimalist modern clothing allows the intricate craftsmanship and distinctive coloured stones to serve as a sophisticated focal point.

Store items individually in soft pouches, avoid harsh ultrasonic cleaners due to gemstone inclusions, and clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soapy water.
