A set of four KPM Berlin porcelain Octagonal fretted plates hand painted with birds and insects. Reticulated rim with arched detail and painted line work. Pink fretted rim and each plate beautifully painted with a different bird, surrounded by insects and flowers. Blue sceptre mark to the reverse and incised marks near the foot rim.
Painting style and plate body typical of the mid/early 19th century, c1830- c1850
Condition
Surprisingly good for the period, with very minor wear to the gilded edge. Minimal wear to the painting and gilt.
