Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A double sovereign case is a pocket-sized container manufactured during the 19th century specifically designed to securely hold two gold sovereign coins for currency transactions.

These items were predominantly crafted from sterling silver or solid gold, frequently featuring internal spring mechanisms, gilt interiors, and engraved exterior ornamentation.

Authenticity is determined by checking for clear British hallmarks indicating the assay office, metal purity, and date letter corresponding to the Victorian era, alongside traditional hand-engraved motifs.

Small antique metal objects are effectively displayed by placing them inside a glass-topped table vitrine, on a bookshelf display stand, or upon a decorative surface tray.

Silver pieces should be cleaned gently using a non-abrasive microfibre cloth and specialized silver polish only when necessary, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage historical patination.
