Vintage Cultured Pearl, Jade And Gold Ring

This is an unusual vintage dress ring
 
It is manufactured from 18ct yellow gold and has a substantial setting and shank depth
 
The jade is set within and enclosed setting and the pearl which measures approx 9 grains is cupped within a gold mount.
 
The pearl has a beautiful lustre and superb sphere.
 
The two components are asymmetrically set.

There’s a lot of symbolism in this rather unusual and dainty ring.
