Vintage Mikimoto Cultured Pearl Stud Earrings in 9ct Gold

Beautiful vintage silvery grey cultured pearl solitaire stud earrings by the luxury Japanese maker Mikimoto. Kokichi Mikimoto is credited with creating the first cultured pearls in 1893 and the company he founded is famed for producing some of the finest pearl jewellery in the world thanks to its superior quality, fine materials and expert craftsmanship.

• Condition: Very good vintage condition.

• Hallmarks/stamps: Each stud is stamped 9CT with the Mikimoto M oyster logo, and the butterflies are stamped 9CT.

• Fixing: Nine-carat gold butterfly scrolls.

• Size: The pearls measure approximately 6.5mm diameter.

• Weight: 1.3g.

• Era: Estimated 1950s/60s.
