Description

This fabulous vintage novelty silver pill box / snuff box which is fully hallmarked is made by top silversmith William Comyns & Sons Ltd and is in the form of a French Bulldog.

This beautiful box which has a hinged lid is realistically modelled as a French Bulldog's head with wonderful detail, the inside is gilded, feels heavy in the hand and is in excellent condition.

Would make a wonderful gift for a silver collector or French Bulldog lover.

Material: Sterling Silver.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked with Lion for silver. Leopard's head for London. Maker's mark R.C for William Comyns & Sons Ltd. Date letter q for 1971. Also stamped with Sterling. England.

Dimensions: Width: 2.1 cm (3/4"). Depth: 3 cm (1 1/4"). Height: 3 cm (1 1/4").

Weight: 25.5 g.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with only very light signs of use in keeping with age. Some staining inside.
