Description

A large antique pine mule chest dating from the mid 19th Century. The lid lifts up to reveal a large storage compartment and it has two drawers below with brass plate handles. It is a good quality piece with a panelled construction and it comes with its original working key.

It is in good original condition throughout and is strong and sturdy with a lovely warm patina. The hinges are in good order and the interior is clean and tidy. There are signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks and a couple of minor old repairs but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
