Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Numbered napkin rings became popular in middle and upper-class Victorian households to ensure that family members or guests retained the same napkin throughout the laundry week.

These items are typically constructed from a base metal, such as nickel silver or Britannia metal, which is then electroplated with a thin layer of silver and finished with hand-engraved detailing.

Authenticity is identified through traditional maker marks, the quality of the hand-engraving, the weight of the metal, and signs of natural oxidisation and wear consistent with age.

They can be used functionally during formal dinner parties to add a touch of historical character to contemporary table linens, or displayed within a glass-front cabinet.

Silver-plated items should be cleaned gently using a specialist non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage the underlying plate.
