Guilloche enamel involves engraving a metal surface with an intricate repetitive pattern under a translucent layer of enamel, a technique frequently used in Scandinavian silver jewellery.

These items are typically crafted from sterling silver, often with a gold wash known as vermeil or silver gilt, combined with vitreous enamel and fine filigree wirework.

Authentic pieces generally feature makers marks, silver fineness stamps such as 830S or 925S, and traditional hallmarks indicating Norwegian origin.

These versatile accessories can be pinned to lapels, scarves, hats, or coat collars to add a touch of intricate metallic detail and heritage design.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth to avoid scratching the delicate enamel or wearing away the thin gilt layer, and store away from direct sunlight and moisture.
